Vajra- Langhe Rosso
Langhe Rosso is an invitation to explore the region's different varieties. Predominantly Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto. Smaller quantities of Freisa, Albarossa, Pinot noir are also blended in. On the nose, it is both concentrated and harmonious: flowers and fruits to give way to hay, tobacco, spices. Bright summer berries on the palate with a strong graphite structure.
The Mocali estate has been owned by the Ciacci family since the 1950s. Their
gorgeous Tuscan vineyards are farmed sustainably to give us delicious, ripe and balanced wines. It’s a small estate sheltered by pine and oak forests that also houses two olive groves. Fossetti is 80% Sangiovese, 20% Canaiolo grown in marly limestone soils. Medium-bodied and earthy with notes of red and black fruit.Great with grilled foods and anything tomato based.
A pale pink colored wine. It has an intense and complex nose with aromas of, stone fruits (peaches, apricots), citrus (mandarin peel), fresh red berries and hints of almonds. The wine is fresh and balanced on the palate, with good acidity and a long finish. A rose just in time for warmer days and socially distanced picnics.
The Estate’s philosophy remains faithful to its founding principles from 128 years ago:
create a fine Rioja wine that meets the standard of the reds produced in el Barrio de la Estación. A place where the details and typicity of fine wines receive the utmost respect. The wine itself has a bright crimson color and balances vibrant cherry notes with dusty tannins. Medium to full bodied, the Tempranillo/ Garnacha blend gives the wine a sense of place unique to the area.
Azelia's 2016 Barolo is a blend of fruit from parcels in Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga, with the character of Serralunga especially felt in the wine's tannic grip and persistence. Iron, sage, mint, smoke and wild cherry give the Barolo striking aromatic nuance and complexity, all in the mid-weight style. The purity of the fruit is just striking. Stated simply, this is a tremendous wine in its peer group. While great alone this wine is worth making or finding fresh egg yolk pasta carbonara or a mushroom swiss butterburger if you are feeling fancy.
Trinoro- Le Cupole
A blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, the 2017 Le Cupole is a gorgeous wine with thick, dark intensity and a sense of bright energy. The bouquet offers soft, ripe and opulent dark fruits(blueberries, plumbs), but considering the heat and the drought associated with this vintage, the fruit is expertly managed. There are no jammy overtones or overtly ripe aromas and the tannins are velvety and subdued. This is a super-tuscan that makes Bordeaux fans look for tickets to Florence.
Lopez De Heredia Viña Tondonia Rosé 2010
- EXCELLENT vintage. On that year it rained very little in comparison to a normal average year. June was very cold and as a consequence the budding as well as the fecundation were affected reducing the quantity all over Rioja in general and in our vineyards in particular. Harvest started September 27th with White grapes and October 4th with reds. It lasted until October 20th. The weather conditions during the harvest were perfect and we could harvest grapes in excellent conditions of quality that have developed in exceptional wines with a great capability of ageing and very characteristic of a great cold Rioja vintage.
Chateau De Saint Cosme "Hominis Fides" Gigondas 2018
Hominis Fides is typically the most elegant of Château de Saint Cosme’s three single-vineyard Gigondas. “Grenache grown in the sandy soil produces marvelously textured wines as well as extremely refined tannins; a very special and stylish wine,” says Louis Barruol. The wine features aromas and flavors of pepper, truffle, graphite, and smoke.
